Island Vir
The island of Vir is one of 1186 islands of the Croatian Adriatic. Vir is located in the northwestern part of Dalmatia, and is linked to the mainland via a bridge. Due to the moderate Mediterranean climate, Vir provides extraordinarily clean seawater and picturesque sand and gravel beaches on the one hand, and spacious spruce forests as well as commonly occurring olive and fig trees on the other hand, which attracts more and more tourists from all around Europe every year. Additionally, the beach named Sapovac, which is well known for its healing mud, makes Vir a popular destination for pain patients.
